He was born Ronald Dee White on December 18, 1956 in Fritch, Texas, United States. He is an American stand-up comedian, actor and author. His prominence came from a charter member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour.

Career

White is also known by his nickname “Tater Salad”, who has been served the United States Navy. According to his own statement, at age 17, he joined the service and served on the auxiliary rescue and salvage ship USS Conserver close to the end of the Vietnam War.

He wanted to be a comedian from his young age, though he lived in Mexico for a short time and bought a pottery factory there before coming back to the United States to pursue comedy career. He has toured along with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Larry the Cable Guy as part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour from January 2000 through March 2003.

This show was sold out across the United States in more than 90 cities and minting over $15 million. White made seven guest appearances on Blue Collar TV, while The WB Television Network aired the pilot for The Ron White Show in 2005.

White is the writer of the book “I Had the Right to Remain Silent But I Didn’t Have the Ability” that emerged on the New York Times best seller list.

He tied the knot with Lori Brice in 1981 that reached their split in 1993. They both had one son, Marshall. White then married to Barbara Dobbs in 2004 which ended in 2008. He exchanged wedding ring with singer Margo Rey although since 2017 the couple is no longer together, on the other side White had claim to not truly marry married with her.
