Dolly Parton has revealed that her music compositions for the Netflix hit film Dumplin are inspiration by her large gay fanbase and by drag queens.

The storyline of this film revolves around the Willowdean “Dumplin’” Dickson, who is the plus-sized daughter of a former beauty queen, who joins for Miss Teen Bluebonnet pageant of her mother as a protest that rises at what time other competitors follow her footsteps.

She is one of the most popular American singers and record producers, said addressing with Deadline that before writing the original score, the 72-year-old Parton went to go see the film because according to her point of view, it was necessary to get really feelings, the personalities and the attitude.

Parton believes herself “a feel person,” said further during her conversation with news blog Deadline Hollywood Daily, “It’s not that I had to make everything exact, but I wanted to make sure that I covered all the emotions and all the things in the movie.”

She also revealed that her observation on the Netflix hit film Dumplin brought ease to compose music for this venture because she was inspired.

The hitmaker of “I Will Always Love You” also has made public that a scene featuring drag queens in this film is one of the best parts of the movie.

After composing the music for Netflix’s an American coming-of-age comedy, made possible her huge gay following and has won true love of the drag queens, continued saying, “Because they’re flamboyant and so am I, and it kind of gives them a little freedom, and they’ve always loved to dress like me because they can kind of over-exaggerate it.”
