Actress Gina Rodriguez Faces Criticism Over Use N-Word

Actress Gina Rodriguez is undergoing yet another racial scandal, but this time over a social media post promoting the n-word during singing lyrics.

Chicago woman shared footage on her Instagram on Tuesday in which Rodriguez is getting her hair done as The Fugees song “Ready or Not” is being played in the background.

The 25-year-old American actress and director appeared rapping “I can do what you do … believe me. (N-word) give me heebie-jeebies,” afterward laughed quietly out loud.

However, the “Jane the Virgin” star faced huge condemnation over her indecent words, though the video was highly shared on social media before its deletion by her.

After strong media backlash, the hottest woman shared another video, “I just wanted to reach out and apologize. I am sorry,”

She added, “I am sorry if I offended anyone by singing along to The Fugees, to a song I love, that I grew up on. I love Lauryn Hill. And I really am sorry if I offended you.”

A large number of people continue repercussions over her actions, while most of them considered her apology dishonest.

Nonetheless, she posted another follow-up apology early Wednesday on Instagram, “In song and in real life, the words that I spoke should not have been spoken,”

Her lengthy message contains, “I thoughtlessly sang along to the lyrics of a favorite song and even worse, I posted it. The word I sang carries with it a legacy of hurt and pain that I cannot even imagine. … I have some serious learning and growing up to do and I’m so deeply sorry for the pain I have caused.”

Rodriguez spotlights on racial issues that caused recent criticism, while before that previous year another was accused of interrupting her “Smallfoot” co-star Yara Shahidi after an interviewer asked Shahidi how she feels about being a role model to so many young black women.

“So many women,” Rodriguez emphasized in response to the interviewer, sparking criticism from people who suppose Shahidi signifies a group that is routinely failed to notice especially in Hollywood.

Her another act became criticism last year, received condemnation for her false impression of the wage gap in the television and movie industry during a gathering of actresses Emma Roberts, Gabrielle Union, and Ellen Pompeo.
