Amber Heard Reveals Her Struggle Coming out As Bisexual To Parents

Amber Heard revealed her own tough experience coming out to parents that they couldn’t process, also shared a powerful message to those are undergoing the same;  “Attitudes and hearts can change.”

On Saturday, attending the panel at the South By Southwest (SXSW) Festival that entitled “Making Change On and Off the Screen,” she made public that how difficult that was to state her religious parents that she was bisexual.

The 32-year-old American actress said in a recording posted on the official SXSW website, “I’m from Austin, Texas. My dad is ‘out of central casting’ Texan,”

She added, “Big barrel hat, handlebar mustache, loves his guns, good Southern man. And I was raised in a religious home. Naturally, being an outspoken, militant feminist, lesbian, atheist, vegetarian … I remember when I told them about my relationship, that I was in love with this woman. … I remember at the beginning of that it was just tears. It was tears.”

The former wife of Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp also explained that she declined to acknowledge the difficulties with her family were having an effect on her, and Heard didn’t show any negativity but observed that their behaviors have been changed over five years.

Heard continued, “Five years later, I was getting an award, and I asked my parents to drive out to Dallas. My parents in five years, look at the journey. Attitudes and hearts can change,”

One of the most beautiful blonde women first emerged at GLAAD’s 25th Anniversary event in 2010, that time she was in a relationship with an American artist and photographer Tasya Van Ree.

Heard mentioned at the time like this, “I don’t label myself one way or another — I have had successful relationships with men and now a woman. I love who I love; it’s the person that matters,”

Amber Heard and Von Ree both started dating 2008 whereas their relationship ended in 2012, just before her falling in love with actor Johny Depp during filming The Rum Diary 2011, even both also dated for a long time and tied the knot 2015 but divorced in 2017.

Heard graced the theaters appearing in fantasy-science fiction Aquaman in 2018 opposite Jason Momoa playing Mera, love interest Arthur Curry, a warrior, and daughter of King Nereus.
