Biography: Jacqueline Fernandez is winner of the 2006 Miss Universe Sri Lanka pageant, Bahraini-Sri Lankan actress and former model, was born in Manama, Bahrain on 11 August 1985 to Sri Lankan father Elroy and mother Kim of Malaysian descent.
She was talented since her childhood as hosted television programs in Bahrain when she was 14-year-old, while attained a degree in mass communication from the University of Sydney in Australia after finishing school study. Jacqueline learnt Spanish, French and Arabic from Berlitz School of languages.
She has explained one of her interviews that she dreamed to turn out to be an actress at a young days as well as a Hollywood movie star, though she became Bollywood star and also went the John School of Acting.
Jacqueline Fernandez moved to India in 2009 for a modeling project and where she heard about audition for lead role in an Indian fantasy film Aladin (2009) and met Sujoy Ghosh, proved she can do this job and signed successfully.
Her first performance opposite Amitabh Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh, earned impressive feedback by the audience as well nominated for IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Female. Although the film received negative comments by critics and remained failure at box office.
